On September 17th - 19th, 2003 the PHSA along with members of the Bayshore Softball League combined resources to run the first annual slo-pitch tournament in support of The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada, National Capital Region.

The start of the event was dampened by a tremendous thunderstorm on Friday night, but the volunteers scrambled to juggle the schedule a bit and teams were back on the field early Saturday morning.

The tournament wrapped up late Sunday afternoon with a great defensive battle between the Diamond Cutters and the Screwballs. The Screwballs eventually held on to win 8 - 7.

With the help of a large group of volunteers and 14 teams from around the city, we were able to raise $1500.00 to help make a child's dream come true. We look forward to our second annual event Sept 25th & 26th, 2004 to be held at the RA Centre on Riverside Drive.
